How does Ledgerline build the forecast?

It starts from your live bank balances, layers on invoices and bills with their due dates, then applies payment behaviour it learns per customer (who pays early, who pays 20 days late). Recurring items like payroll, rent and VAT are detected automatically and projected forward.

Which banks and tools does it connect to?

UK business banks via open banking (Monzo, Starling, Barclays, NatWest and most others), plus Xero, QuickBooks, Stripe and GoCardless. Connections are read-only; Ledgerline can never move money.

Is there a free trial?

Every plan starts with a 14-day trial on Growth features, no card required. At the end you pick a plan or your data is deleted after 30 days.

What happens when the forecast is wrong?

Forecasts carry a confidence band that widens with distance, and every projected line item is inspectable: click a week and see exactly which invoices and bills produce the number. When reality lands differently, the model recalibrates that customer's payment behaviour.

Can my accountant use it with me?

Yes. Starter and Growth include a free advisor seat. Accountants managing several clients usually take the Practice plan and run all of them from one workspace.

How is my financial data protected?

Bank connections use FCA-regulated open banking providers, data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and we hold read-only scopes. You can disconnect and erase your workspace at any time from settings.
